Sri Lanka Honeymoon Itinerary: Private, Romantic and Unhurried
Private, romantic, flexible
Free quote · No deposit · No obligation
A Sri Lanka honeymoon works best over 10 to 12 days with three bases rather than eight: a tea-estate bungalow in the hill country, a boutique hotel inside Galle Fort, and a quiet beach at Tangalle or Mirissa. Add a private safari and a dawn whale-watching trip. A private driver means no group tours, no shared transfers and no fixed schedule.
Is this the right Sri Lanka itinerary for you?
The mistake honeymooners make in Sri Lanka is moving every night. Three or four bases over eleven days beats eight bases every time.
Best for: Couples who want privacy, boutique stays and a pace that allows for long breakfasts.

How much does this tour cost?
Pricing depends on your dates, group size, vehicle and the standard of accommodation you want. The driver and vehicle portion runs USD 50-80 per day for a car and USD 70-110 for a van, all-inclusive of fuel, tolls, parking and the driver’s own costs. Hotels are quoted separately so you stay in control of that budget - from clean guesthouses to tea-estate bungalows and Galle Fort villas.

When should you travel?
Sri Lanka has two monsoons hitting opposite coasts, so the right route depends on your month. This itinerary suits the December to March window best, when the west coast, south coast and hill country are driest. From May to September we reroute the coastal legs east to Trincomalee and Pasikuda. See all 12 months compared.
