December to March is the driest, sunniest window for the west and south coasts (Galle, Mirissa, Bentota) and the hill country (Kandy, Ella, Nuwara Eliya). May to September suits the east coast (Trincomalee, Arugam Bay). The Cultural Triangle (Sigiriya, Dambulla, Polonnaruwa) is good most of the year.
